Combining a unique blend of genres that stretch from Jazz to Folk, exciting London based Indie-folk artist Joe Wilkins utalises his wide range of influences to provide a sentimental and melancholic feel to his music. On the cusp of releasing his sophomore EP ‘Happy Here’, Wilkins aims to create a sound that’s equally infectious as it is diverse, weaving sophisticated and nuanced narratives within his compelling framework of playful melodies that’s become so synonymous with his music. Written, recorded and produced from a small home studio and mixed by Danny Monk (Flyte), his latest single ‘Deep Sea’ encapsulates the nostalgic tension of early adulthood, moving through growth, reflection and emotional resilience. It has been met with support from both BBC Introducing’s Adam Walton and BBC Radio Wales’s Bethan Elfyn, further developing his journey as a songwriter and exciting live performer.
